New integrated surface and groundwater modelling project: Abeek-Lossing monitoring campaign begins

In collaboration with A.G.T., HydroScan was appointed by the Flanders Environment Agency to carry out an integrated surface and groundwater modelling of the Abeek-Lossing catchment area, to support river restoration in this area.

The project begins with a large-scale monitoring campaign with flow, level, groundwater and rainfall measurements.

The measuring points have recently been installed and will be monitored for a period of at least 10 months. The results will be used in the further construction and validation of the hydraulic models. Later, a number of scenarios will be calculated to further optimise the hydrological and ecological system operation in the area.
